What Is Elevate Dance Project?
Our Mission
ELEVATE DANCE PROJECT (EDP), is a Federally recognized and registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering students passionate about dance by creating equitable opportunities for students to build leadership and artistic skills through dance, outreach and community collaboration.
Our experiences focus on responsibility and the importance of serving others. Children are empowered while achieving common goals, this is key to fostering a sense of belonging and purpose. Students can develop their artistic talents and leadership skills, while serving on a student committee that actively shapes our organization’s vision and future initiatives to inspire collaboration and ultimately amplify its impact within the community.
In the past, opportunities that broke down financial and educational barriers for students pursuing college dance teams were scarce in our area. From this discovery, our founding students took action and began creating their own uniquely tailored program to meet their long-term goals —an initiative by students, for students.
While the primary focus of ELEVATE DANCE PROJECT is to support students pursuing college dance teams, we also encourage and support those seeking other advanced dance education. Opportunities fit our members’ specific needs, including guidance, mentorship and education by knowledgeable advisors, while also fostering student leadership, collaboration, and personal growth.
By taking charge of their own futures, these students have created a supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to reach their full potential. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of dancers to pursue their dreams, make a lasting impact on their community, and lead with confidence in all areas of life.
