Participation in the Elevate Dance Project (EDP) student committee is a unique opportunity, and we encourage applicants to carefully review the following details and criteria before applying.
Elevate Dance Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering leadership, artistic growth, and a strong team dynamic. We seek committed students who are passionate about dance and eager to train with their future in mind. Through this program, dancers gain valuable experience in collaborating, leading, overcoming challenges, and balancing the demands of a high-intensity sport with their daily lives.
Our team culture prioritizes personal growth, accountability, and respect while equipping students with essential leadership skills. This program is both fun and challenging, requiring dedication, hard work, and a passion for learning. More than just a team, we strive to create a supportive, family-like environment where dancers build lasting friendships and develop skills that will benefit them well beyond their time with us.
Students should be age 11+.and be comfortable working in a team environment, bringing creative ideas to the table, and helping to plan and execute projects that benefit the organization and its members.
Throughout the season, we host bi-monthly meetings where mentors, advisors, and local volunteers bring an array of valuable information to our members. These meetings also serve as a platform for students to collaborate, brainstorm, and take the lead in planning and executing four community-centered events. Participation in meetings and events allows students to accumulate volunteer hours and earn points through our structured system. These points translate into scholarships that help cover future dance training and related expenses, making dance education more accessible and rewarding for our participants.
